The Los Angeles Rams came out looking solid this season starting out 3-0. However, they did experience some turbulence dropping three straight afterward. It was a turn of events that led to them landing star cornerback Jalen Ramsey and reigniting their team.
The Los Angeles Rams made a trade for Ramsey sending two first-round picks (2020 and 2021), and a fourth-round pick. It is still early to get a full view of how it will all pan out but Ramsey has been a welcome addition to the locker room.
Quarterback Jared Goff spoke on Ramsey during media availability:
“He’s got a lot of attitude and it’s fun, it’s good to see. I think he does bring a little bit of spark to us, our whole team not only our defense just our whole team. Just knowing he’s over there on that side of the ball, he makes a play he gets fired up about it and you see that energy and that enthusiasm, and it translates over to offense and we feel it. He’s a great player and from what I’ve seen so far a great teammate and I’m excited to have him.”
The Rams culture has been one of the glowing aspects of the organization. Particularly, because they are welcoming of varying personalities. It was one of the things Ramsey took note of in his introductory press conference:
“I was super super excited,” said Ramsey. “A fresh start in a place like L.A with the culture I’ve heard about here. I’m a young guy still, everyone around here is kind of young. I feel like it’ll be a little more understanding.”
Ramsey has always been an expressive player. He is actually one of the more colorful personalities in the NFL. It was not lost on anyone when he came to training camp in a brinks truck indicating his desire for a new deal.

The inviting culture is by design of head coach Sean McVay. That was the biggest change that players took note of when he was initially hired in 2017. It became a place welcoming to all players. Even Ramsey.
He appears to be fitting in well with this young Rams team. Hopefully, it will be a fit that can aid the Rams in pursuit of another Super Bowl appearance. Everyone will have to wait and see until then.
