Los Angeles Rams prevail over NFC West rival Seattle Seahawks 33-31

The Los Angeles Rams remain undefeated following their win over the Seattle Seahawks. It was a back and forth game where neither team blinked until the end of the game.

It is no secret that the Rams and Seahawks are bitter division rivals, besting each other from time to time. The environment in Seattle did its part to elevate the hostility between the two teams.

This was not the defensive grudge match that defines many of these matchups. On the contrary, it was high voltage all throughout.

It was an impressive showing for the Seahawks offense that was 22nd in offense coming into the game.

They were able to put up 373 total yards of offense which outpaces their 302 yards per game average. Seattle was able to move the ball up and down the field for most of the afternoon.

Quarterback Russell Wilson did his part in putting the Seahawks in positions to win the game with his performance. He was 13 of 21 for 198 yards and three touchdowns.

He did have others such as Chris Carson and Tyler Lockett put in notable efforts. Carson had 19 carries for 116 yards. Lockett had three receptions for 98 yards and one touchdown.

However, it all just was not enough with the roll the Rams are on. The Rams have been the most complete team so far this year and it showed in their versatility.

Seattle made it a point to restrict Todd Gurley’s impact running the football. He had 22 carries for 77 yards. However, he was able to still put in three touchdowns where it matters most.

Rams receivers were able to step up as well even despite losses throughout the game. Cooper Kupp left a mark prior to leaving for concussion protocol. Kupp had six receptions for 90 yards and a touchdown.

Brandin Cooks also had to enter concussion protocol so Josh Reynolds took on his role. Reynolds had two receptions for 39 yards.

Jared Goff did not recreate his Week 4 performance but did enough for the Rams to win. He was 23 of 32 for 321 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. He also got the game sealing first down on a qb sneak.

The Rams are a tough out for anyone at this point. This 33-31 victory speaks to their ability to finish games. It only seems fitting that such a big win comes against their biggest rival.
